~My pets - the Piggies~

I go by Bassey Booster, or My Redeemer Lives, out here on the net

This was a pic of me with my Guinea pig Raffy taken back in the summer of 2003 or possibly 2004

~A Little About Me~

  • I was born and raised in central Wisconsin.
  • I have four sisters and two brothers.
  • I was brought up in a little non-denominational Church and since about the age of 16 or so have truly taken an interest in the Word of God. I only received my first Bible though about 3 years later when I was 19. It was a free gift as a first time camper at National Camps for Blind Children and Adults.
  • My paren`ts' family dog; her name is Mello Yello, because when we first got her my Dad said that she was so mello. She is a sweet dog and is so good at comforting her owners. Please keep Mello in your prayers, as she is getting up there in years approaching 14, and is somewhat over weight. She has other health concerns as well. Thank you.
  • My parents also own 5 cats; Tiger-a grey and white with black stripes-he stays outside most of the time, Silly-a crazy siamese who is totally unpredictable at all times...my Dad and I love picking on her because she loves it, Candy-another siamese of which is rarely seen...she generally hides and only comes out for food, Next up is Ziggy-he too is siamese, the fluffy longer hair kind, he has his strange quirks about him... if you scratch his back he will wobble his head from side to side while sticking his tongue in and out very quickly repeatedly-he is very strange. Ziggy is Mom's favorite. Ziggy is also a water baby and will walk around the house crying for water if his dish is empty. The only kitty remaining is Itsy-he isn't quite so Itsy anymore, we have had him for almost 3 years now. My Mom and sister nursed him with an eye dropper when he was a baby after finding him almost dead from neglect by his previous owners. Itsy is most commonly known as my Dad's favorite of the kitties. I will need to post more pet picks on the pet pages.

*** (((up-date Spencer has passed since the creation and last up-date of this page but I am leaving his info here to remember him by.))) Spencer-our sweet playful Spencer (also siamese)-he slept under rugs and played with the other cats... he  was so much fun! Current update as of

A little more about me.

I was born with Glaucoma, High myopia, Nystagmus, and Cornial Dystrophy and am considered legally blind with 20/200 vision in my good eye. What would illegally blind be? Anybody know??? Ha ha ha!!! Well because of the problems that I have with my vision it was thought that I would never graduate from my home town school district. Every year in school my parents were told that I would not make it through the system and that I would need to move to Janesville Wisconsin in order to get the training the school district felt I needed. My parents fought the system and won every year. They did not want to see me go that far away from home and I am glad that I didn't. I would not have half the curriculum that I have now. I took classes in High school that Janesville wouldn't have offered.

I had an awful lot of tormenting growing up but I am also glad that I had that. I believe it made me tougher somehow in a way. I really enjoyed school itself, but my class mates did not get along very well with me. Lets just say that I am not any beauty queen. The school bus was a living nightmare growing up. I should have just stayed on the bus for students with disabilities that they had me on when I was really young. There was always a seat with a friend on that bus! When I made the switch to the regular route, I had no idea what I was in for. I got everything from the spit wods to the back of the head to the tripping in the isles on peoples' feet. There was never a place to sit. Once in a while we would have a decent bus driver that would make people sit with one another, that way I got a seat, but most of the time I had to stand in the isles and wait for people to move over. Gerrerererer! Most of the drivers were more worried about their popularity with the students then anything else! Now after all the huff and fluff of my school years I made it through against all odds and went onto college. I really enjoyed college. College is so much nicer, and different, nobody feels like they have to pick on you to be popular. They basically worry about only their business and no one elses. That is the way it should be in life. I am really enjoying life after my move from my hometown. It was a big step, but well worth it! Now I am treated like a human being. Well most of the time for that matter anyway. I would never want to go back to the way things were when I lived back in my hometown - no transportation to the visually impaired community. In other words, I would be stuck at home unless I learned to walk the whole area. I do have to say that I am glad for the life experiences I have had, in the words of Aaron Tippin "I wouldn't have it any other way."

I am a product of my life experiences!
